View exhibition

To mark the 90th anniversary of the birth and 60th anniversary of the death of Ivan Goran Kovačić on July 11, 2003, a new permanent exhibition was opened in the poet's birth house in Lukovdol (Memorial Museum of I. G. Kovačić).

The first permanent exhibition was opened in 1975 under the management of the Museum of the Revolution of the Peoples of Croatia.

The new display (2003) presents the poet's life and work in the context of his native land with an analytical approach to Goran's entire literary oeuvre, contemporary museological methods and a variety of museum materials - works of art, handwritten and printed documentary materials, photographs, Goran's personal and family items, and ethnographic materials from Gorski Kotar sectioned in five exhibition themes:

1. GORAN AND LUKOVDOL
2. GORAN WRITER AND JOURNALIST
3. GORAN IN THE PARTISANS
4. GORAN'S NATIVE LAND
